Applications: MOLCHLOR® BKC is used in various lotions to prevent and treat infections in minor cuts, scrapes and burns. It helps to kill bacteria, viruses and fungi, preventing infections in the affected area. In some eye drop solutions, it serves as a preservative to help maintain the stability of the medication. It is commonly found in glaucoma eye drops and other ophthalmic preparations.

(C) The crystals melt at 127 °C to 133 °C.

3 Solubility It is miscible with water and with ethanol (96%).
4 Acidity or alkalinity Not more than 0.1 mL of 0.1 M hydrochloric acid or 0.1 M sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the indicator.
